Artist's Comments

I made two versions of this wallpaper and I couldn't decide which one I liked better. Here is the other version [link] The pictures are from the film adaption of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights book and it features the characters of Heathcliff and Catherine. It also has the lyrics from the song "Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush.

The narrative tells the tale of the all-encompassing and passionate, yet thwarted love between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, and how this unresolved passion eventually destroys both themselves and many around them.

LYRICS:
Out on the wiley, windy moors
We'd roll and fall in green.
You had a temper like my jealousy:
Too hot, too greedy.
How could you leave me,
When I needed to possess you?
I hated you. I loved you, too.

Bad dreams in the night.
They told me I was going to lose the fight,
Leave behind my wuthering, wuthering
Wuthering heights.

Ooh, it gets dark! it gets lonely,
On the other side from you.
I pine a lot. I find the lot
Falls through without you.
I'm coming back, love.
Cruel Heathcliff, my one dream,
My only master.

Too long I roam in the night.
I'm coming back to his side, to put it right.
I'm coming home to wuthering, wuthering,
Wuthering Heights,

Heathcliff, its me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Ooh! let me have it.
Let me grab your soul away.
You know its me--Cathy!

Ah! I've listened to that song about a million times since last ... Thursday? (Whenever I discovered it.) I love Wuthering Heights -- although I still have to see the '92 version!

Anyway, this is a really beautiful wallpaper! Fantastic job with the design (and obviously the subject and choice of pictures ^__^)!

Tehe, I know how that goes! I listened to it hundreds of times while making this (and the other version), to keep up the spirit of it. :) Well, the '92 version is the only one I've seen of it. At first I didn't particularly like it (still haven't read the book) but I loved it by the end. :)

Thank you for your lovely comments! I was trying out a new style with this one. :)
